La Maja is our annual limited-edition coupage, the result of a careful selection of the finest varieties protected under the Protected Designation of Origin Aceite de Navarra: Arbequina and Arróniz.

Each harvest is crafted with the utmost care, cold-extracted to preserve the fruit's full organoleptic qualities intact.

The result is an oil of unique character that reflects the terroir of Mendavia. Green-yellow in colour with a clean, intense aroma, it surprises with its vibrancy and complexity. Notes of tomato leaf, grass, artichoke and apple are present, with a subtle hint of kiwi.

On the palate, its aromas are confirmed with a medium bitterness and an elegant, lingering pungency. A long, enveloping finish.

Presented in a gift-boxed glass bottle, it is a benchmark of quality for the table and the perfect present for lovers of fine olive oil.

Tasting notes

Intense and complex fruity. Notes of tomato leaf, grass, artichoke, apple and a subtle hint of kiwi. Medium bitterness with elegant late pungency. Long and enveloping finish.

Pairings

Raw over signature dishes, beef carpaccio, sashimi, aged Navarrese cheeses, roasted vegetables and sourdough bread. Ideal for tasting and gourmet pairings.

¹Los polifenoles del aceite de oliva contribuyen a la protección de los lípidos de la sangre frente al daño oxidativo. El efecto beneficioso se obtiene con una ingesta diaria de 20 g de aceite de oliva, equivalentes a unas 2 cucharadas soperas. ¹La vitamina E contribuye a la protección de las células frente al daño oxidativo. ²El consumo de grasas saturadas aumenta la concentración de colesterol en sangre.
